who we are

The inference of the name secks is provocative in itself. If secks isn’t on beat with what’s going on around you, then at least we have a name that will appropriately piss off nearly everyone else at the dinner table.

Back in the day, i used to screen print punk, grunge and rock n’ roll inspired, t-shirts for my friends. I did it on the laundry room floor, bedroom floor, kitchen floor…long before I was able to do it on a table…wherever. Mom hated it. The tub was filthy from washing the ink and dye out of the screens, carpets were ruined, and there were t shirts hanging to dry all over the house. Who cared. I sure as hell didn’t. i got off on it – and my friends loved the tees…so I kept makin ‘em…

Then the ideas for secks started flowing. Ideas and enthusiasm needed to be tempered with a lot of cold pints of draught, coupled, as always, with shots of Jameson. Of course, any good business person will tell you, that this type of business meeting can only end up being, well, a great party… where inspiration from good friends, great music and cool surroundings became the fuel behind the design and attitude of our products.

Since it’s creation in 2005, secks continually reaffirms it’s identity as a provider of comfortable and well assembled street wear for those that appreciate something good when they see it.

Secks is a young company with a harsh and unsophisticated opinion on things, but always objective. Maybe it stems from our love of 80’s punk and urban function, but it flows…deliberately. If it seems contrived, we say ‘who the fuck cares’. It’s fun. It’s meant to be edgy. It should make you look twice…and it should get those tight asses out there a little concerned.
